American actress and singer Paris Hilton has praised "Ninja Assassin," where Korean top singer and actor Rain stars and which was released on Nov. 25 in the United States and one day later in Korea.
"Go see Ninja Assassin, awesome movie!:)," Hilton said on her twitter, Nov. 30.
With the word of "awesome," she also showed her affection for Rain, 27, who trained for six months to get into fighting shape.
Meanwhile, ticket sales for the first Hollywood film where he has ever starred, was
$21 million (23.4 billion won) during the release week (Nov. 25-29), offsetting half of the production costs.
Ticket sales totaled 611,026 in 277 cinemas across Korea, placing it second in the local box office, enjoying high popularity at home and abroad.
This is an action film in which a young ninja turns his back on orphanage that raised him, leading to a confrontation with a fellow ninja from the clan. Rain plays Raizo, a revenge-seeking ninja.

미국 배우 겸 가수 패리스 힐튼이 비의 할리우드 주연작 '닌자 어쌔신'을 극찬했다.
이 영화는 미국에서 11월 25일 한국에서는 하루 지나 개봉됐다.
패리스힐튼은 11월 30일 자신의 트위터에 "닌자 어쌔신을 보고 왔다. 멋진 영화"라며
극찬하는 글을 남겼다.
이어 패리스 힐튼은 'awesome'이라는 글과 함께 비에 대한 애정도 드러냈다.
한편 비의 할리우드 첫 주연작인 '닌자어쌔신'은 북미 개봉 첫 주 (25일~29일)
수입 2,100만 달러 (248억)를 기록해 제작비 절반을 회수했으며 한국에서도
전국 277개 상영관에서 누적관객 61만 1026명으로 박스오피스 2위를 차지, 흥행 순항 중이다.
이 영화는 한 어린 닌자가 자신을 키워준 고아에게 등을 돌리는 같은 파벌의 동료 닌자와 대치하는 액션물이다. 비는 복수를 하려는 닌자인 라이조역을 하고 있다. |
