Lee Hye-won, wife of South Korea's football star Ahn Jung-hwan, has expressed her painful sentiment after a Chinese portal site reported that she is the perfect example of Korea's excellent cosmetic surgery skills.
In a posting on her blog, Ms. Lee, 30, a former Miss Korea, said, ``Now I know why people have chosen death.''
Earlier, Wangyi (www.163.com), one of China's leading portal sites, said, ``Ms. Lee is the representative cosmetic beauty from the wives of the world's sports stars. She, albeit a 1998 Miss Korea beauty, is one of those who show Korea's excellent cosmetic surgery skills.''
With regard to the report, South Korean Internet users cheered her, saying ``You don't have to care because Chinese people envy your beauty'' and ``Be strong as a mom.''
Meanwhile, Ahn Jung-hwan, an attacker with Dalian Shide of the Chinese professional football league, is the leading scorer for his team with six goals and two assists.

축구스타 안정환의 부인이자 미스코리아 출신 이혜원이 자신을 두고 "한국의 뛰어난 성형 실력을 보여주는 사람"이라고 한 중국 언론의 보도에 대한 괴로운 심경을 밝혔다.
이혜원은 자신의 블로그 포스팅에서 "이제 사람들이 왜 죽음을 선택하는지 알 것 같다"로 밝혔다.
이에 앞서 중국 포털 사이트 왕이는 이혜원을 "세계 스포츠 스타의 부인 중 대표적인 성형미인"이라고 소개하며, "1998년 미스코리아 출신이긴 하지만 한국의 뛰어난 성형실력을 잘 보여주는 사람 중에 하나"라고 보도했다.
이 보도에 대해 한국의 네티즌들은 "중국 사람들이 예뻐서 질투한 것이니 신경쓰지 마세요," "엄마로서 강해지세요" 등의 댓글로 그녀를 응원했다.
한편, 안정환은 현재 중국 프로축구 다롄스더팀에서 공격수로 활약하고 있으며, 올해 슈퍼리그에서 6골 2도움으로 팀내 득점 1위를 기록하고 있다. |
