As if the eight days of fashion shows during last month's Seoul Fashion Week were not enough, more spring and summer fashion collections will be unveiled in the next two weeks.
The Seoul Fashion Artists Association (SFAA) will kick off its three-day Seoul Collection, Thursday at the National Theater of Korea, Haneul Theater.
The SFAA had previously been part of Seoul Fashion Week, but this fall, they decided to stage a separate event once again.
The event spring/summer 2009 collection features fashion shows by 10 top Korean designers such as Rubina, Jinteok, Park Youn-soo, Ro Sung-un, Bakangchi, Choi Ye-nok, Kim Dong-soon, Sul Yun-hyoung, Kim Ji-woon and Haneza.
Seoul Collection, which is open to the public, runs from Nov. 13-15. Tickets are 7,000 won for one fashion show and 20,000 won for a day pass to four fashion shows. Tickets are available on ticket.interpark.com (Korean only) or at the venue.
Meanwhile, Pret-a-Porter Busan will feature not just Korean designers, but also designers from China, Hong Kong, Japan and France for the three-day event starting Nov. 20 at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO).
Model Center International president Toh Shin-woo said Pret-a-Porter Busan chose creative designers who are mostly in their 20s and 30s and show a lot of potential.

Foreign designers such as Eric Tibusch from Paris, Zou You from Beijing, Dorian Ho from Hong Kong, as well as Han Ahn Soon and Oka Masako from Tokyo will stage their fashion shows.
Han's fashion show will be the opening event at Pret-a-Porter Busan. She is attracting a lot of interest not just for her creative designs, but also because of her heritage as a third generation Korean-Japanese. Han is known for her originality in mixing Korean and Japanese culture in her designs. For her spring/ summer 2009 collection, she created casual but elegant designs that express both cute and cool looks.
Another designer to watch is Tibusch, whose design talent was first noticed by Jean Paul Gautlier. At the age of 34, he started his own couture collection. His designs are a reinterpretation of Parisian chic, using luxurious materials to create a comfortable but sophisticated look.
Masako is known for her eco-friendly fashion designs under the Ecomaco brand, using organic textiles to create light and transparent outfits. Her theme for spring/summer 2009 show is ``Fashion for the Earth in Busan."
Ho, one of Hong Kong's top designers, has always created feminine and alluring evening gowns worn by many celebrities and socialites. He has previously participated in the Pret-a-Porter Busan in 2004 and 2005. .
Zou is presenting his designs in Korea for the first time. His spring/summer 2009 collection includes avant-garde suits, uneven shirts, detailed sewing and wrinkled sleeves.
Six Korean designers participating include Seo Eun-gil, Choi Yen-ok and Ha Sang-beg from Seoul, as well as Jung Young-won, Dou.ze and Lee Young-hee from Busan. Seo and Ha have already presented their spring/summer fashion shows during Seoul Fashion Week, while Choi is also participating in the Seoul Collection.
Organizers expect 15,000 visitors to attend the Pret-a-Porter Busan, which is aimed at promoting Busan as an international fashion city. Visit www.pretaporterbusan.com.
