``Teeth,'' a children's musical about the importance of brushing one's teeth, returns to Seoul's stage this spring.

Korea's largest English-language musical theater group Theatre Seoul is re-staging ``Teeth'' at the COEX Art Center, southern Seoul starting April 23. The show, which premiered last January, is aimed at teaching children about dental health and hygiene using fun and music.

``Teeth'' follows the story of Prince David whose mission is to rescue a beautiful princess from a horrible monster. Unlike fairy tales where the Prince is charming and perfect, Prince David loves to eat candy and sweets but hates brushing his teeth.

Despite his bumbling nature, Prince David manages to save the Princess. However, she sees his ugly teeth and spurns him. She uses magic to go inside his mouth and show Prince David how disgusting his teeth are, but the Princess is kidnapped by the evil Cavities.

Prince David has to learn how to brush his teeth properly, and save the Princess from the evil Cavities.

Actors Brad Curtin, who appears in the EBS children's show ``Boom Boom Musicland,'' and Arthur Johansen play lead roles in the musical.

``Teeth'' features all songs and dialogue in English. Even children with only a basic knowledge of English will be able to follow the plot and enjoy the show.

``Teeth,'' is directed and written by American playwright Margaret Whittum. This is Theatre Seoul's first production that used foreign actors, since they usually only use child actors.

Formed in 1995, Theatre Seoul has around 100 members, ranging from kindergarteners to high school students. The group helps children learn English through acting. They have brought their production of ``Choon-hyang True Love,'' to New York, Shanghai, Edinburgh, and throughout Korea.

``Teeth'' runs from April 23 to May 18. Performances are Monday to Friday at 6 p.m., but no shows on Tuesdays. There are specials shows at 3 p.m. on Wednesday. On weekends, shows are at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Coex Art Center is located near Samseong Station Subway Line 2 Exit 6.

Tickets are 30,000 won. Visit www.smusical.com or ticket.interpark.com (1544-1555).
