Do you remember a man who made his dream come true and amazed many viewers around the globe last year?
He is Paul Potts. On ``Britain's Got Talent,'' the audience paid little attention to this cell phone salesman until he captivated the show's judges, moved audience members to tears and got a standing ovation with a mesmerizing performance of an extremely difficult opera aria, Puccini's ``Nessun Dorma.''
Potts is to hold his first concerts in Korea at Ewha Womans University Grand Hall in Seoul on May 3 and 4.
The 36-year-old rising star is not handsome, had financial difficulties and didn't receive any attention from people around him. Potts had been bullied in school and that experience may have had an influence on his lack of self-confidence.
But he shot to stardom, overcoming his humble backgrounds with his astonishing talent.
Potts is now known as a British tenor. Before his debut in the TV's hot talent show, Potts had worked in unpaid opera productions from 1999 to 2003.
``Britain's Got Talent'' was viewed by 13.5 million in the final rounds and his rendition has been one of the all time most-viewed clips on You Tube.
His debut album, ``One Chance'' went to the top in the U.K. chart and more than 300,000 copies of the albums were sold in the first two weeks.
His first album has 10 tracks with all-time hits such as ``Time To Say Goodbye'' and ``Caruso.''
According to the People's Enterprise, the concert organizer, Potts has decided to give his concert in Korea to show his hope and passion for music.
For the Seoul concert, he will perform his numbers from ``One Chance,'' which was released last August and others which have not been released yet.
