The traditional circus is getting a new twist, as the European circus act Zephora comes to town. Filled with clowns and acrobats, Zephora promises a memorable show that the entire family can enjoy.
Sheraton Grande Walkerhill is bringing this original European circus to Seoul for the first time. The Zephora show includes clowns, a flying duo, aerial trapeze act, jugglers and an ``enchanting water girl.'' Adding to the excitement are the acrobat's unpredictable leaps on the Wheel of Death, acrobats lunging from the ceiling, formation of human pagodas and other performances.
Zephora has been described as ``a bundle of emotions that offers adults an opportunity to escape from the ordinary and enter a world of romance and reminiscence while giving children hope, imagination, and dreams.''
The cast has a diverse background, with performers from Germany, France and Italy. A live band performs in the background, along with a team of dancers, Red Fox.
If you think you'll be munching on popcorn while watching flying acrobats and clowns, you're wrong. Zephora is a circus you can watch while partaking a sumptuous five-course dinner at the Walkerhill. The course includes smoked salmon dome with dill caper sauce; soup and bread; grilled beef tenderloin and assorted vegetables; cake; and a choice of any of the following main dishes, beef tender steak, roast chicken with rosemary butter, fillet of fish Meuniere, or nobiani.
Zephora is shown Monday to Saturday, with performances at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Section S tickets are 115,000 won, including a five-course dinner; Section A tickets are 95,000 won, including a five-course dinner; and Section W tickets are 65,000, including one beverage or wine.
Also a Zephora package is available for 270,000 won, including an overnight stay at a deluxe room, two tickets to the show and a five-course dinner. Other benefits include discounts at all hotel outlets, a 20% discount at The Deli, and a special 20,000 won per-person rate for the breakfast buffet at The View restaurant. The Zephora package is available through June 30, 2008.
