As temperatures continue to rise this summer, K-pop stars are hoping to help fans cool down and enjoy the rest of the summer with pop music.
First up is former g.o.d. member Sohn Ho-young's summer concert ``Season 1 Under the Sea" on Aug. 18 and 19 at the Olympic Hall, Olympic Park in southern Seoul.
Sohn promises to make his fans feel his charisma with sexy R&B performances. He also wants fans to witness his romantic and funny side, with romantic ballads and fun pop songs, during his concert. He released his first solo album ``Yes" last year, and is currently promoting his new single ``Sweet Love."
Tickets for Sohn's concert are priced between 77,000 won and 55,000 won. .
R&B singer Wheesung is making a comeback, after a two-year break from the music scene. He will perform at 2007 ``Wheeshow: Welcome to the Realslow World" on Aug. 25 and 26 at Olympic Hall, Olympic Park.
Wheesung is expected to perform songs from his fifth album, which will be released this week. He promises to give his fans an exciting concert, especially since they have been waiting for his comeback for a long time. During his absence, Wheesung has produced tracks for other singers such as Ivy and Lyn.
Tickets for Wheesung's concert are priced at 77,000 won, 66,000 won and 55,000 won.
Big Mama, a four-member female vocal group, will be holding a series of concerts at the HS Hall in Daehangno in central Seoul from Aug. 31 to Sept. 9. Big Mama, composed of Shin Yeon-ah, Lee Young-hyun, Lee Ji-young and Park Min-hye, never fails to disappoint with their powerful vocals.
Evan, a former member of pop group Click B, is holding his first solo concert ``Soul in my Music" on Aug. 17 to 19 at the Sungkyunkwan University, New Millennium Hall.
Evan, whose real name is Yoo Ho-suk, released his solo album ``Hard to Breathe" earlier this year. His music combines urban pop, soul and jazz. Tickets for Evan's concert are priced at 55,000 won.
