Starting this week, Allianz Life Korea will offer global assistance services to its loyal customers including travel insurance, medical assistance and escorts in case of emergencies.
The Seoul-based insurer said Sunday that it had signed a partnership with Allianz Global Assistance, one of the world's foremost players in the travel insurance segment, to provide the services.
From Allianz Korea's 1.2 million customers, the recipients of the services will be decided depending on internal criteria like premium amounts and subscription periods.
"This agreement came to fruition thanks to our hard work in seeking a way to offer a premium service worthy of the status of Allianz Group as a world-leading financial service provider," Allianz Korea CEO Cheong Mun-kuk said.
"We will make continuous efforts to serve our loyal customers with reliable coverage through this global assistance service."
Christophe Aniel, Allianz Global Assistance's North Asia regional director, said that the company will put forth great efforts for its new clients.
"Allianz Global Assistance is a global leader in travel insurance and assistance, active in 150 countries. Based on our extensive service network and outstanding service, we will do our best to promote convenience and safety of Allianz Life Korea's customers," Aniel said.
