르세라핌, '언포기븐’으로 컴백

K-pop girl group LE SSERFIM denied, Monday, accusations that it plagiarized the music and concepts of popular Spanish singer-songwriter, Rosalia.
월요일 K팝 걸그룹 르세라핌이 스페인 유명 싱어송라이터 로살리아의 음악과 컨셉을 표절했다는 의혹을 부정했다.

The quintet denied them at a press event held at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, eastern Seoul, to celebrate the release of its first full-length album, "UNFORGIVEN."
이 5인조 그룹은 서울 동부 광진구 예스24라이브홀에서 열린 첫 정규 음반 ‘언포기븐' 발매기념 쇼케이스에서 표절 의혹 논란을 일축했다.

"Our songs and concepts feature our own stories and messages," leader Kim Chae-won said. "We would appreciate it if you could see them as our original creations."
리더 김채원은 "저희의 곡과 컨셉은 저희의 이야기와 메시지를 담았다"며 "이번 앨범을 르세라핌의 고유 창작물로 봐주시면 감사하겠다"고 말했다.

Shortly before Le Sserafim's comeback, some internet users claimed that the members' singing styles remind them of Rosalia and that the certain elements of their songs ― such as rhythms ― share similarities with those of the Spanish star.
르세라핌의 컴백 직전 일부 네티즌은 멤버들의 창법이 로살리아를 연상시킨다며 리듬 등 르세라핌 곡들의 특정 요소가 이 스페인 가수와 유사하다고 주장했다.

The plagiarism controversy has been a hotly debated topic online, but Le Sserafim's management company, Source Music, has not issued an official statement concerning it.
표절 논란은 온라인상에서 뜨거운 화제가 됐지만 르세라핌의 소속사 쏘스뮤직은 아직 공식적인 입장을 내놓지 않고 있다.

It has taken about seven months for Le Sserafim to return after rolling out "ANTIFRAGILE" last October. Anticipation has been palpable ahead of the release of "UNFORGIVEN," as evidenced by the number of pre-orders.
르세라핌은 작년 10월 ‘안티프래자일(ANTIFRAGILE)'을 발매한 후 복귀에 약 7개월이 걸렸다. 선주문 수량에서 알 수 있듯 '언포기븐' 발매를 앞두고 기대감이 고조되고 있다.

As of Friday, the album has surpassed 1.38 million pre-orders ― more than a two-fold increase from "ANTIFRAGILE." Given this figure, "UNFORGIVEN" is expected to sell more than 1 million copies just like "ANTIFRAGILE.
금요일 기준 이번 음반 선주문량은 '안티프래자일'보다 2배 이상 늘어난 138만 장을 돌파했다. 이러한 수치를 감안할 때 '언포기븐'은 '안티프래자일'이 그랬듯 100만장 이상 팔릴 것으로 예상된다.

"'UNFORGIVEN' shows our determination that we will pioneer our own path without following the standard set by the world," Kim explained during the press event.
김채원은 쇼케이스에서 "'언포기븐'은 세상이 정한 기준을 따르지 않고 우리만의 길을 개척하겠다는 각오를 보여준다"고 말했다.

Kazuha elaborated, "We offer the tunes of diverse genres ranging from hip-hop to Latin pop, so people can enjoy our album without getting bored."
카즈하는 "힙합부터 라틴팝까지 다양한 장르의 음악을 담아서, 사람들이 질리지 않고 우리 앨범을 즐길 수 있도록 했다"고 덧붙였다.
