A sixth nationwide anti-President rally will be held in Seoul and other cities as planned on Saturday, organizers said Tuesday.
"President Park Geun-hye must decide on everything regarding her resignation by herself," said Ko Gye-hyun, a spokesman representing dozens of civic groups organizing the rally.
"Why did she pass the buck to the National Assembly? . . .The National Assembly is already working on a motion to impeach her. So her proposal to let it decide her fate is nothing more than just a political ploy to distract attention from impeachment."

He said the President had again let down the people by showing an "irresponsible attitude in dealing with a scandal caused by her, and this reflects her disrespect for the citizens."
