The Hanbit and Dongmyung units, stationed in the Republic of South Sudan and Lebanon respectively, will see their dispatch remits finish by the end of the year.
Before this, the government will propose extending their service to the National Assembly next month, according to an official.
"As a mean of contributing to peace and security, the two units need an extension of service," the official said.
"Their accomplishments are highly rated by the United Nations," he added. The government sent an evaluation group to South Sudan and Lebanon in July to study an extension.
Currently, 290 soldiers are with the Hanbit Unit under the United Nations Missions in Sudan, while 317 are with the Dongmyung Unit in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon. U.N. Peace Keeping Operation projects are comprised of military units from registered countries and are extended on an annual basis.
