Korean actor Lee Min-ho, equally popular at home and in Asian countries such as China, will begin a "global" tour in September to meet his overseas fans.

The tour will include stops in Asian cities including Beijing and Tokyo and also North American cities, according to management agency Starhaus Entertainment, which plans to release a final schedule soon.

Lee held fan events in eight Asian cities last year and sold more than 52,000 tickets.

The actor rose to stardom after appearing in the Korean remake of the teen romance drama, "Boys Before Flowers," in 2009.

He is filming "Gangam Blues," a crime drama with Yoo Ha as director.

(Re:minho).
