日, 미일 신형 요격미사일 발사 장면 공개

일본 방위성은 지난 4일 미국 하와이에서 실시한 미일 공동개발 신형 요격미사일 'SM3블록2A' 시험 발사 장면을 홈페이지를 통해 9일 공개했다.

방위성이 공개한 것은 하와이 앞바다의 미군 이지스함에서 미일이 공동으로 신형 요격미사일을 발사하는 장면이다.

당시 미군 이지스함에서 발사된 미사일은 중거리 탄도미사일을 상정한 표적을 요격하는데 성공했다.

'SM3블록2A'은 북한의 탄도미사일 발사에 대응하기 위해 개발됐다. 현재 일본 해상자위대 이지스함에 탑재된 요격 미사일 'SM3블록1A'의 개량형이다.

기존 미사일에 비해 본체의 직경이 커지면서 연료를 더 많이 탑재, 사거리가 늘었고, 표적 탐지 능력도 향상됐다.

방위성은 SM3블록2A 요격미사일을 탑재할 수 있도록 해상자위대의 이지스함 개량도 계획하고 있다.(연합)
