In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, 514 American people received unexpected packages from South Korea.

On November 20th, this article from the New York Times gained a lot of attention from around the world.

"There was something magical about the box. Some people, Korean people, very far away wanted to make sure that I was OK…" - Sandra Nathan, a former Peace Corps volunteer in Korea [New York Times]

The article starts with the story of Sandra Nathan, who spent 1966 to 1968 in Korea as a young Peace Corps volunteer, describing how she felt when she received the parcel.

Inside the box was labelled "KF COVID-19 Survival Box."
