Chilean Ambassador to Korea Gloria Cid Carreno, left, poses with former U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon during the Strait of Magellan Award at the Chilean embassy in Seoul, Nov. 24. The award is named after the Portuguese navigator who crossed a natural channel in southern Chile on Nov. 28, 1520, in a voyage financed by the Spanish Crown and is awarded to those who demonstrate innovation and exploration in their respective fields.
