The world’s most beautiful woman will help choose the world’s most desirable man. Kaiane Aldorino, the reigning queen of the 2009 Miss World pageant, arrived in Seoul, Sunday, as a member of the jury for the 2010 Mr World contest, said the Miss World Organization.

The United Kingdom-based organization has been hosting the Mr World competition since 1996 and the Miss World pageant since 1951. The 2010 edition of Mr World is co-organized by The Hankook Ilbo-The Korea Times Media Group.

The beauty from Gibralter will be attending every major event of the competition until the final, which will be held on March 27 in Songdo, Incheon. The agenda for the next two weeks includes a sporting challenge, house-building project, charity events and talent show.

``Every moment will count in the judging process. We’re very excited that Ms. Aldorino will be joining us. She is a national treasure in her home country and the atmosphere will change when she’s around,’’ a spokesperson for the Miss World Organization told The Korea Times.

Aldorino visited Korea in January and got a taste of the local culture. She said she was impressed by the traditional food and her visit to a Buddhist temple, and couldn’t wait to return.
The beauty queen also met Ryu Ji-kwang, who is representing Korea in the contest this year. ``He is very friendly; he’s handsome and has a nice singing voice. I think Korea has a very good candidate,’’ she said during the previous visit.

According to Julia Morley, chairwoman of the Miss World Organization, Mr World can be described as ``a James Bond type,’’ who is not only physically capable of daredevil abilities but also polished in cooking, treating a lady and presenting themselves.

Meanwhile, Miss World 2007 Zhang Zilin, of China, and the 2008 title holder, Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia, will join the judging panel for the Mr World final. Other judges will be announced shortly.
