Actress Park Soo-ae, better known as Soo Ae, is in talks to make her small screen return in a new TV drama, following her last series "Sweet Stranger and Me" in 2016.
Huayi Brothers, the actress' agency, told several news outlets on Tuesday that she has been offered a lead role in "We are breaking up, now" (direct translation) and is "positively reviewing the role."
Earlier Tuesday, a news outlet reported that she had accepted the role and quoted a source as saying: "Soo Ae is returning to the scene as the lead character of the drama."
The role she is considering is that of a stylish, sharp maverick who runs the design division of a fashion company.
The series, about the breakup of couples, will be made by the production company Samhwa Networks, which created "Be Melodramatic," "Fiery Priest" and "Dr. Romantic 2."
Soo Ae debuted in 2002 and has starred in numerous hit films and TV series, including the 2013 disaster film "The Flu" and the 2011 TV drama "A Thousand Days' Promise."
