“Sour Candy,” a collaboration song of K-pop girl band BLACKPINK and American pop star Lady Gaga, will be out on May 29.

It is the 10th track of Lady Gaga's upcoming 16-song album “Chromatica.”

“The journey continues. You can officially join me on #Chromatica on May 29,” Lady Gaga wrote on her Instagram, Thursday (KST).

Further details of “Sour Candy” are under wraps.

“The team-up has naturally come as BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga became mutual fans after listening to each other's music,” the K-pop act's agency YG Entertainment has said.

Lady Gaga's sixth studio album was initially set for release on April 10, but the singer postponed it following the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. “Chromatica” also features pop icons Elton John and Ariana Grande.

Lady Gaga is a Grammy-winning musician known for hits including “Poker Face” (2008) and “Bad Romance” (2009).

BLACKPINK, comprising Jenni, Lisa, Rose and Jisoo, debuted in 2016, achieving fame with numbers including "Whistle" (2016). In 2018, it teamed up with Dua Lipa and featured on the English singer's 2017 release “Kiss and Make Up.”

The quartet is poised to return to the K-pop scene in June. YG said it would announce the date once it is confirmed.
