Ecuador has been suffering one of Latin America's worst outbreaks of COVID-19, since its first case was reported in February. With Guayaquil being the center of the outbreak, the country has confirmed 32,763 cases and 2,688 deaths as of May 17.


Ecuador's ambassador to Korea, Johnny D. Reinoso-Vasquez sat with The Korea Times to talk about the situation and measures taken by the Ecuadorean government to deal with the pandemic.
