A fundraiser aimed to raise money and awareness of the plight of North Korean refugees will be held Sunday at Blue Bridge Bar in Itaewon, Seoul.

The event, in collaboration with Teach North Korean Refugees (TNKR), IMATTER and Music Playground, will present "An International Night in Itaewon _ An Event in aid of North Korean Refugees."

Sponsored by online recruitment site "Live and Work in Malta," the night promises music, prizes and networking.

"The sponsors approached us and said they will put on the event and are really keen to support TNKR," said TNKR co-founder Casey Lartigue Jr. "They promised a fun evening and a chance to meet good people and do some good for North Korean refugees."

The event's partners also include Quicklets, Zanzi Homes, ShowsHappening and St. Edward's College, Malta.

The dress code is casual.

Entrance is a 10,000 won donation that comes with a free glass of red or white wine.

The event is from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

All proceeds will go to TNKR.

Online donations are accepted at give.lovetnkr.com/en.

TNKR is a Seoul-based NGO that provides free English-language lessons for North Korean refugees. The group was established in 2013 by Lartigue and Lee Eun-koo.

Over the years, 290 North Korean refugees have studied in TNKR with 597 volunteer tutors and coaches.
