Kim Yo-jong, the younger sister of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un, carried a file that observers speculate contains a letter from her brother, into her meeting with President Moon Jae-in at Cheong Wa Dae, Saturday.
Kim later held the file, blue in color with a gold seal in the middle, with two hands
It was hard to tell what the seal signified. She has the official title of director of the Propaganda and Agitation Department under the Workers' Party of Korea.
A commentator on YTN said that it was the North's official national seal composed of a red star, Supung Dam located on the Yalu River, and ears of rice.
The file was thin and looked as if it contained containing a sheet or two of paper.
The fact that Kim's sister carried it rather than Kim Yong-nam, leader of the delegation, increased the possibility that it was a letter from the North Korean leader.
CNN and some media outlets speculated that Kim Jong-un had sent a letter inviting President Moon to visit the North.
