Police are investigating a male student from Pohang University of Science and Technology (PUST) over the alleged sexual assault of two female students during a freshman orientation.

The man allegedly groped one of the victims and tried to sexually assault the other at a condominium at Walpo Beach, near Pohang, on Sunday, police said.

Other details of the suspect and the incident are unknown.

“The suspect partially admitted his wrongdoing, but denies sexual assault,” an officer at Pohang Bukbu Police Station said on Tuesday.

Police will seek an arrest warrant for the man.
