Gallery M will host a self-portraiture group exhibition in Seoul from June 27 to July 11.
Featuring 13 international artists such as Adele Pedulla of the U.S., Corey Malcolm Lajeunesse of Canada and Giuseppe Santagata of Italy, the exhibition will showcase works of self-portraits, themed "Mirror, Mirror."
The artists include Manouchka Elefant of Switzerland, Mariya Haponenko of Canada, Mike Stewart of the U.S., Thurlo Adams of South Africa, and Martyn Thompson of the U.K.
"At some point during their careers, most artists will turn to themselves as the subject matter for their creations," the gallery website says.
"Throughout history, artists have, and will continue to use a variety of mediums and methods to capture images of their own faces, whether this be in a classroom in a school, looking at our reflection in a mirror, or a smart phone picture, the love for ourselves, and the way we look, feel and are perceived by others will continue to be a source of inspiration."
The exhibition tackles issues ranging from human emotion, cultural, and philosophical aspects of the artist's identity to the physical representation of the form of the artists face in new and challenging ways.
Gallery M is located at Jongno-gu, Sinmunno 2-ga, 1-222.
