The KOREAT food festival provides an opportunity to enjoy food by famous chefs across the country served from food trucks, this weekend on Jeju Island, organizers said Tuesday.
The KOREAT festival was held for the first time last year by the eponymous restaurant ranking guide launched September 2015, selling out all tickets.
This year, KOREAT Festival will be held at the Hyatt Regency Jeju as the main venue for food trucks and the Haevichi Hotel & Resort as the venue for lunch and dinner events.
KOREAT food trucks will be stationed in front of Hyatt Regency Jeju Cliff Garden noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 8 and 9 and the "Chef Live Show" lunch and dinner programs will be held at both Haevichi Hotel & Resort and Hyatt Regency Jeju. The "Dinner with a View" gala dinner will be held on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. at the Haevichi Resort featuring chefs Park Moo-hyun of Milieu, Eo Yoon-geun of Ristorante Eo and Shin Seung-Hwan of Terreno.
The restaurants participating with food trucks on Oct. 8 are Alice, All that Jeju, Bistrot de Yountville, Byeokje Galbi & Bongpiyang, Hadongkwan, Il Italiano, Lak Hee Oak, O'neul, Sushi Hoshikai, Votre Maison and Wolfgang's Steakhouse. The lineup for Oct. 9 includes Byeokje Galbi & Bongpiyang, Dosa, Hadongkwan, JinJin, Milieu, Ristorante EO, Seomun Fish Restaurant, Sushi Cho, Sushi Hoshikai, Terreno and Toc Toc.
