British designer Hussein Chalayan presented dissolving coats in his spring/summer 2016 show in Paris, Oct. 2.

During the show, two models clad in white lab coats stood on small podiums in the center of the catwalk. Water was then poured on the models, dissolving the coats made from a waxy paper to reveal Swarovski crystal-embellished cocktail dresses underneath.
"I try to think of it inside out, so I work with an idea where the crystal is integral to design rather than something you add on," the designer said.
Chalayan has presented such creative garments before, where he presented a coffee table that was transformed into a wooden skirt in 2000.

He was named the "British Designer of the Year" in 1999 and 2000, and was awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2006.
