The delinquency rate for loans extended by South Korean banks fell in September from a month earlier, largely due to an increase in overdue debt clearance by large firms, the financial regulator said Thursday.
The loan delinquency rate for loans extended by 18 local banks stood at 1.17 percent last month, down 0.38 percentage point from the previous month, according to the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS).
