Attrakt, the agency behind the success and dispute of K-pop girl group Fifty Fifty, announced its plans to launch a new girl group project slated to debut next year.
The agency revealed its plan for selecting the new group's members through a public audition program in a press release, Monday.
Attrakt also plans to incorporate its preferences as key criteria in the audition process, setting it apart from existing talent search programs.
While details about the audition and its schedule remain undisclosed, the agency aims to involve the public significantly in shaping the new group.
Attrakt, led by CEO Jeon Hong-jun, is known primarily for managing Fifty Fifty. The indie record label shot to fame on the wings of the group's success with its song "Cupid" in the U.S. However, the agency is currently in a legal dispute with the four members of the group.
