While the global community is focused on the Rio Games, some Korean stars have been up to controversial SNS escapades.
On Aug 11, female TV personality Jung Ka-eun posted on Instagram a photo of herself breastfeeding her baby.
Such motherly affection should not be a subject of scorn, but Jung's photo was different.
With her baby's back turned toward the camera, she smiled and held up a "V" hand gesture.
"Now that I have gotten used to breastfeeding, I can finally take some selfies while breastfeeding with my breasts not exposed thanks to my handsome baby," Jung said.
The picture immediately drew a slew criticism from netizens saying Jung was "just begging for attention" or asking why she had to involve her baby in such a way.
The star, in her late 30s, coolly responded to the comments on SNS. She said she was simply "so eager to brag about" her child.
"I cannot live up to the expectations of you all, can I?" Jung said.

K-pop girl band Girls' Generation member Tiffany has become netizens' next target after her SNS photos on Independence Day on Monday smacked of pro-Japanese sentiment.
Two photos on her Instagram had a Japanese flag emoji, while another one on Snapchat had a text phrase "Tokyo Japan" graphically designed using the Japanese "Rising Sun" flag ― a symbol of Japan's military colonialism during World War II.
The photos went up after "SMTOWN LIVE TOUR V in JAPAN" at Tokyo Dome on Aug 13-14 featuring SM Entertainment stars, including Girls' Generation.
Fans questioned why Tiffany posted such provocative photos on the day Korea escaped from Japan's 35-year occupation in 1945.
But some fans defended the star, saying the emojis and the Rising Sun flag simply meant she was in Japan for the concert, and that linking the flag to Independence Day was unnecessary.
Later on Monday, Tiffany posted on Instagram a photo of her written apology to her fans.
The Snapchat photo has now been deleted.
