Just a day ago, YG unveiled a concept video for each of its four members ― Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa ― to raise expectations for the album and the new songs.

This will be the group's first full album since its debut in 2016. Two of the tracks ― "How You Like That" and "Ice Cream ― were pre-released in June and August, topping various music charts.

The music video for "How You Like That" set Guinness World Records for the most-viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, until another K-pop superstar group BTS's "Dynamite" broke the record last month.

BLACKPINK scored its career-best ranking on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last month with the collaboration song with Selena Gomez "Ice Cream," which debuted at No. 13.

"THE ALBUM" is slated to be released on Oct. 2 at 1 p.m. through streaming sites and will hit the shelves on Oct. 6. The group's Netflix documentary "BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky" is set to premiere on Oct. 14.
