Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon ― also known as DJ HYO ― is collaborating with Soyeon of K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE for her new single, her record label SM Entertainment said Thursday.

“Hyoyeon's new track 'Dessert' features Soyeon and rapper Loopy, who also made a rap for the single,” the company said. “Hyoyeon participated in making the song.”

“Dessert” is a jungle pop song tinged with Moombahton rhythm and an addictive hook. The star sings about her want for sweet love to a bouncy beat.

“Dessert” will drop on July 22 on music streaming charts including Melon, Genie and QQ Music.

Hyoyeon debuted as a Girls' Generation member in 2007 with the album “Into the New World.” The band released numerous hits including “Gee” (2009) and “Run Devil Run” (2010). She made her DJ debut with her first single “Sober” in 2018 and recently appeared on Mnet's hip-hop competition program “Good Girl.”
