Singer-songwriter and producer Yoon Jong-shin is set to release the city pop genre single "SUMMER" on Tuesday, just in time for the hot, sunny season.

The single will be part of his "Monthly Project 2020," for which he releases a song every month. It will also be the first of the city pop genre series Yoon will release through the rest of the summer.

"I felt that this summer is especially the right time for the romance and charm of city pop genres," Yoon said through his agency Mystic Story, referring to the coronavirus.

The latest offering will include lyrics put together from Yoon's previous summer-themed songs.

"Unfortunately, this summer will be extra hot and unpleasant from having to wear masks," he said. "So I wanted to give a glimmer of summer breeze back to the audience (through this song)."

The singer is known for his upbeat, refreshing summer-themed songs, including "Red-bean Sherbet," and "Welcome Summer."
