Suho, front man of K-pop boy band EXO, is set to release his first solo album "Self-Portrait" Monday afternoon.
"I am more thrilled than pressured to display my own music for the first time," Suho said in an email Q&A Monday. "While tuning up for the EP, I paid most attention to the lyrics to deliver my authentic feelings."
The singer contributed to the lyrics of all the numbers, his agency SM Entertainment said. Among them, the lines of the modern rock-flavored lead song "Let's Love" encourage people to be brave in expressing love. The track's title is also an EXO slogan.
The album contains five other B-side tracks including the acoustic pop song "O2," the rock ballad "Starry Night" and "Made In You," a number dedicated to EXO fans, EXO-L.
"They are not powerful dance songs, but sentimental stories of me," Suho said.
Suho debuted as a member of EXO in 2012. The K-pop act rose to stardom thanks to its smash-hit song "Growl" released in 2013.
