2PM's Nichkhun appears in 'Arthdal Chronicles'

2PM's Nichkhun has appeared in tvN drama “Arthdal Chronicles,” adding to viewers' excitement and curiosity.

Nichkhun plays Rottip, one of the surviving Neanthals, wearing pale makeup and with purple lips and blue eyes. In the drama, Neanthal is a tribe whose members are physically stronger than humans, with purple blood and lips. The tribe is believed to have disappeared after the “Great Hunt,” genocide.

He speaks in the Neanthal language. Despite the unique appearance and speech, his performance draws the audience into the mythical character.

The participation of BLACKPINK's Jisoo and 2PM's Nichkhun was announced last month without further information about the character. Jisoo plays the lover of Saya (Song Joong-ki) while the June 29th episode revealed Nichkhun's character of Rottip.

He said on his Instagram account, “Don't forget to watch “Arthdal Chronicles” on TvN or Netflix this Saturday and Sunday!” As a surviving Neanthal, who is believed to have disappeared, his character is expected to confuse the people of Arthdal Union.

Nichkhun debuted in 2008 as member of JYP boy band 2PM, and has been working as an actor in China and Thailand, where his movie “Brother of the Year” has been a box office hit.
