Before the evening news show "News 8" on Thursday, Kim apologized to viewers for not completing the show on Wednesday.
"Yesterday I reminded myself of an old saying, 'The bigger hurry you are in, the harder you chew on food'," Kim said, finishing her brief apology by promising it would never happen again.
During Wednesday's program, Kim could be seen sweating and her voice was not as loud and clear as usual. Part of her hair was wet and sweat ran from her forehead and down to her face, neck and chest.
After delivering the program's 13th report, followed by a field reporter's briefing, Kim vanished and anchorman Han Sang-won took her seat.
At the end of the Wednesday's program, Han said he had to step in after Kim suddenly suffered stomach problems. He said Kim would return the next day. The network also said she would be back then.
According to online media OSEN, Kim said Thursday before "News 8" that she had seen media reports about her waking up from "sleeping like a dead person."
"It's something that I have never imagined before," said Kim, who had reported for state broadcaster MBC since 1997 until becoming its main anchorwoman in 2008 and moving to MBN in 2015. "Yes, I am going to the work today. What a public nuisance after 22 years of news reporting in TV."
