The Weeknd, the Grammy-winning R&B singer from Canada, will hold a concert in Seoul on Dec. 15.

The musician has been invited by Hyundai Card as a part of its culture project.

The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, debuted on YouTube in 2010. In 2011, he popped up with three mix tapes and released a regular album, "Trilogy," in 2012 that enthralled fans and critics.

In 2015, he rose to even greater stardom with the album "Beauty Behind the Madness," which includes singles "The Hills" and "Can't Feel My Face." These tracks competed for No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Another song on the album, "Earned It," garnered great popularity and all three tracks were ranked as No. 1, 2 and 3 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

The musician has three Grammy Awards ― two Best Urban Contemporary Album awards and one Best R&B Performance award. He also has won eight times at the Billboard Music Awards.

It is the singer's first gig in Korea and the concert is only for adults.

Tickets are available on Interpark and Yes 24 from Aug. 29. Hyundai Card members can book from Aug. 28.
