By Dong Sun-hwa

Risabae, one of the hottest beauty YouTubers in Korea, disclosed Thursday that as an online creator she earns an average person's annual salary in a month.

Appearing on KBS 2TV talk show "Happy Together 3," the YouTuber said: "I once worked at a dressing room in MBC ― the amount that I make now cannot be compared to what I earned in the past."

She did not reveal the exact amount, but said on another show that she once made sales of over 50 million won ($45,000) a month.

The artist also helped her parents buy a house after garnering over 1 million subscribers on her YouTube channel. She has more than 1.8 million fans now.

Risabae also was a makeup artist for K-pop girl group AOA. Since then she has earned a big name as a beauty YouTuber for using makeup to make herself resemble well-known celebrities.

She has tried to take on many well-known personas, but her best was for singer Sunmi, giving her the first break in her gig.

Meanwhile, there are around 10,000 creators in Korea, with about 100 of them making annual income of 100 million won ($89,000), according to the Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation (KOBACO).
