Actress Uee, a former member of K-pop girl group After School, and singer Kangnam confirmed Friday through their agencies that they are seeing each other.
Yeolum Entertainment and RD Entertainment, which represent the actress and the singer, respectively, confirmed today that they've recently begun dating.
The two became close after the actress joined "Law of the Jungle," a variety show on SBS TV, where Kangnam was among the cast. They developed a romantic relationship some three months ago according to the agencies.
They have been seen together often by fans for some time. Photos hinting that they are more than just close friends have been circulated on social media sites. In one photo, they look casual and comfortable around each other in a Korean chicken soup restaurant near Seoul.
Uee debuted as a member of the girl group in 2009 but has been recently more active in acting. She appeared in some TV series, including "High Society," "She Was Pretty," "Marriage Contract" and "Night Light." She left After School in May.
Kangnam is a Korean-Japanese singer who debuted in 2011 as part of the Korean hip-hop group M.I.B. But he's made himself more widely known through variety shows, such as "I Live Alone" and "Off to School." The group was officially disbanded in January. At the moment, the TV personality appears on "Law of the Jungle" and "DJ Show Triangle." (Yonhap)
