Actor Jung Gyu-woon has confirmed that he is in a romantic relationship with a non-celebrity woman. His agency C9 Entertainment said in a statement on Tuesday,
"Jung is dating a non-celebrity woman. He considers this relationship is a serious one."
The agency did not give any information about the woman or when the couple began dating.
Jung, 34, is concerned the news may have a negative impact on the MBC TV drama "You are Too Much," in which he stars, according to the agency's statement. The drama, which made headlines in January when heroine actress Ku Hye-sun dropped out due to an allergic shock, has recently recorded a sharp rise in ratings.
The agency also added, "Jung will continue his acting career regardless of his relationship status."
Several netizens had claimed on social media that they had seen Jung with an unidentified woman at "romantic" places such as a cherry blossom festival.
Jung married a model surnamed Seo, a year older than him, in April 2014, but they divorced two years later.
The actor debuted in the internet drama "Five Stars" (2004) and found stardom in the KBS TV drama "Again, My Love" (2009).
