American pop artist Britney Spears will give her first concert in Korea, according to Sports Kyunghyang Monday.
The concert ― part of her Asian tour ― will be at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul’s Guro-gu district on June 10. Her agency Creative Artists Agency is finalizing details. A Seoul Metropolitan Facilities Management Corporation official has confirmed the concert.
Korean netizens have been speculating if Spears would play Korea since she announced the Asia tour in January. The singer officially unveiled her plan to perform in Japan on Jun. 3-4. Spears will then visit the Philippines, Thailand and Hong Kong.
The singer visited Korea and performed with K-pop singer BoA in 2003.
Spears has been popular in Korea since her debut in 1998. Her albums have topped or ranked in the top 10 international pop section ratings of Korean charts over the years.
